100% and this is unproductive in value creation for any organization. We all know it too when this is happening which is the sad part.

Organizational dysfunction is what I had in mind when I wrote it. It is highly complex. A founder led or a small organization is highly empowered to course correct the ship as opposed to organization with several layers of complexity. Everyone wants the buy-in but people don't have high agency.

There is a lot of fear in sunsetting features. This could be due to friction in how long it takes to develop. For example, consumer technology does a better job than regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.

Fair. The problem is that neither design nor development will size the request until product gives them a priority but product cannot prioritize till they get a size. And the going around circle continues.

Don't let imposter syndrome bankrupt you from doing. If in doubt, take the first step because doubt kills more dreams than failures.

I see writing packaged into buckets: creative output and distribution. I am curious how much effort was spent on distribution of your output. I love writing and building but I have often found that my project has failed because I lacked marketing efforts (distribution). Creating is always fun but sharing that work is blocked by my imposter.

I would second these guidelines as well to make wfh manageable.

I'll emphasize on 3. Manage your expectations with your direct reports. Let them know in order to stay sane you are going to have set schedule to manage stress while wfh. I do this with everyone I meet at work to set those expectations onset. It has helped tremendously.
