If you use home assistant there are some addons that allow you to sync the temperature of your LED bulbs to how high the sun is at the moment in your location... it's pretty neat.

> Seems like creating an environment that certain funguses like but others don't is pretty tricky, and mostly relies on giving your chosen fungus a head start unless you can maintain perfect sterility.
Yeah, all fungi like pretty much the same environment, so that's impossible but mushrooms need much more oxygen to grow. So it's important to have a lot of fresh air and a lot of humidity. Mycelium actually produces antifungal substances so it quite literally fights for domination of the substrate with others. The "trick" in any grow is to get as many flushes as possible until the mycelium gets too weak to protect itself. Keep in mind that the substrate is metabolised so it becomes less rich in nutrients over time, and mycelium is sitting in its own "piss" so to speak. So at some point it cannot fight other fungi anymore and substrate gets moldy. Even then, you usually have one type of mold winning over. It's pretty random what type of mold you'll get. I think it might be equally hard to grow one chosen type of mold as one type of mushroom...
Isn't fusion safer? If fusion was a viable option for countries that are phasing out fission like Germany then it could solve a lot of problems especially decreasing reliance on gas
I actually distinctly remember that the internet started to deteriorate rapidly the year Trump got elected because he completely took over social media and the news cycle. He was the topic in all comment sections, even when you watched a video on completely unrelated topics, or read a technical subreddits. It was crazy. At the end of his election, Trump was banned from social media, and I feel like there is some fresh air now in the internet. There's still some lingering stench for sure, but I think you were actually "lucky" to miss the worst of it all.
Of course there must be a lot of people who might have an agenda to destroy Zuck and/or Facebook, so it could be that, but personally I think the media just capitalises on the sentiments that already exist in society because that's the way to get more clicks. So, those stories that make people outraged about Facebook or Billionaires get amplified. But for Facebook especially, people have love-hate relationship with it because a) it's clear now that it is bad for society b) people need it at the same time because it continues to be convenient. So those stories in the media are really good for clicks because Facebook is not going away despite its issues, so it's always giant drama.
Whether equations are invented or discovered is actually a matter of philosophy... somewhere in the areas ontology and epistemology. And the debate is not really settled, I believe.
There is definitely some truth to that but I feel that it is an unbalanced view. It really describes archetypal escapism. Not everyone travels to escape, and even for those who travel to escape it's usually not just an escape, you learn a lot while traveling. It enriches you, not just with memories which make you long to travel again.
You can certainly take the lessons about the mind, to be grateful and staying in the present moment, but also keep the variety in your life, whatever that means to you. That is what optimizes your experience.
It's still a social media network. People socialise there with the broader world. And socialising with friends and family may be passé for young people nowadays.
The point is that if you go by the logic of this court decision, you need a consent also for js libraries, images, etc. and their primary purpose isn't to gather data. So, to get rid of all notices, you would have to host absolutely everything yourself.
So, soon on top of all the cookie notices that are already there, we are also going to have to consent initially before anything loads to downloading the javascript from 3rd party to manage all the consents? Lol.... Just what the internet needs...
I'm paying for Workspace and use it as my primary Google Account and really wouldn't recommend it unless you also have another regular Google account and use Workspace only for work, because the "Google experience" on a Google workspace account is really sub-par. Google assistant functionality is limited, you can't get invited to someone's home, you can't set up a family, actually you can't use Google One at all. The list of inconveniences is huge. I've been planning to move out of Google Workspace for years but it's a hassle to migrate primary inbox.
