I'm stoked to be able to share v2.0 of Swair with you all. After working hard over the past year and listening to feedback, new features have been added that aim to help our users work better with clients.
What is Swair?
Swair is an all-in-one communication hub that is a task management tool, client portal and payment gateway.
The problem:
If you're a freelancer or customer, have you had to deal with multiple communication channels to work on one task? Email, dropbox, slack, Whatsapp, the list can go one. Because of this there is no unification of information, files and conversations, so communication becomes fragmented and it's easy for mistakes and disorganisation to impact things.
The solution:
Based on my own experience dealing with contractors, I wanted an all-in-one hub to serve as the place to not only work on tasks, but serve as a portal into the work, so I can be kept up-to-date on what's being done and not make a job out of keeping informed. And so, Swair was born from my own frustration and desire to improve communication and collaboration by providing a common workspace that satisfies the needs of both sides. It allowed me to make better informed decisions with less effort and reduced the level of anxiety on the job.
Swair is FREE to use for clients or those not wanting to make use of payment features.
What's new:
- Task sharing has been simplified and expanded
- Payments & invoicing has been improved
- Wiki section now supports markdown
- You can now embed 'Share links' of popular sites (Youtube, Miro, Airtable, etc.) as custom views
- 'Team Projects' are now available - white-labelled workspace which can be customised with your own logo & color scheme - all accessible from a custom subdomain!
- File library now supports versioning
- Other new features include saving map locations, calendar events and checklists
- (More features are still coming)
I am excited to share my MVP release of a side-project I have been working on for the last few months.
It is a communication and productivity tool built for sole proprietors and small businesses who manage things end-to-end and want to work better with their clients.
Looking for people to try it out and provide feedback.
Lots of cables going through Singapore & Johor (Malaysia) - really hard to make out any details. I've dealt with abandoned cables in the area and the map doesn't look very accurate. Would have liked to be able to zoom in more.
I like this, reminds me of a recent article from harvard business review about generalist. Something along the lines that generalists were better at making connections across domains and can come up with promising solutions to problems.
thanks for the feedback. I was previously using sites like airtasker to handle dealings with service providers and subcontractors but was also having more in-depth exchanges with them about the work via email. So I tried to build a site that can handle task management but can also facilitate payments once tasks are done which is not something I have seen widely used.
I've also added the ability for service providers to put their offerings on the site like a listings page for people to review and accept.
I'm the creator, Chris :)
