Congress/courts need to enforce the laws which already exists. Facebook, Google, etc are making mountains of profit through other peoples information. It is time that those companies be required to pay their users a fee for using their(our) information.
Also, these companies are clearly not following section 230 and should not have immunity to civil lawsuits.
There is this strange talk of breaking the habit when it comes to entertainment. The "habit" was already breaking, but not because people do not want to go to theaters. People were turning off, tuning out, and not going because shows, sports, and movies were no longer providing escapes. Everything is becoming political and lecturing.
Intuit is not without blame, but the IRS in genrral is at fault and allows these problems. One cannot go to or ask the IRS for help on taxes as the IRS is not responsible legally for anything they say. Which means the IRS can tell you how to fill out a tax form and then penalize you for filling the form out wrong. Here is a solution to the tax problems... no income tax.
There is no labor shortage because of all the debt. Idiots do not realize that the "stimulus checks" are paid by taxpayers in the coming years. Plus, with companies not being able to hire workers shortages of goods is coming. This is a perfect storm coming. The great depression is coming again with vengeance unless people stop the government spending on BS.
Of course, maybe something good will come of this... then again people are giving up their freedoms and rights to be safe from a virus that has a 0.000009 chance of killing them

The Comorbidities and other conditions section is very enlightening. Only 6% of deaths from Covid-19 were classified as only being from covid-19. On average 4 other conditions existed including but not limited to "Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning, and other adverse events.
Under the CARES Act, medicare gives an extra (bonus if you will) 20% for covid-19 related services which includes death services.
And #1 of concern is even the CDC defines covid-19 data as tested postive or presumed positive!
As for why death tolls spiked in 2020, take your pick. Suicides, overdoses, riots/peacefull protests, gang crime skyrocketing, crime in general skyrocketing, less police enforcement... kind of a trend here.
So Covid-19 is a virus, and it can even be fatal, but it is as dangerous as the flu. Yet civilization has stopped because of misinformation, the misinformed, and basic questions not being asked.
Are people still buying that Covid19, the China virus of 2019, is still a thing causing all these problems? How long does it take for one to look at all the data and ask some simple questions?
1 How accurate are the covid tests? Why is every postive considered a postive with no false postives, but negatives can be considered false negative.
2. How come the Flu and flu like virus have basically disappeared, but Covid numbers mirror past Flu and flu like viruses numbers?
3. Every governments model for Covid's lethality and spread have be completely wrong and overblown?
4. How does a virus have so many various symptoms? Could doctors be misdiagnosing the problem, especially when being misdiagnose is sadly very common? Could misdiagnosis cause inflated numbers and seriousness?
Finally, why must herd immunity need to be so high? If only 15% of the population is ever going to catch it, if 30 to 40% is immune, would that not cut down the chances of catching a virus to acceptable numbers of everday problems.
Also, risk accessment should be an individual right not controlled by government.
This article seems to take the wrong stance that evolution is a slow change over extended time in population. The new models of evolution is actually population change happens rapidly in a few generations caused by outside stimuli. The resulting change lasts a long time until new stimuli cause population change. Evolution if graphed is steps instead of a curve.
Did they even address the cause for "intelligence?" As I see it two possible signs of intelligence before documented communications (ie. Pictures and what not) would be simple tools and fire.
It is outside the scope of this paper(maybe), but, I think they did to be able to address if humans today are actually any more intelligent than humans in the past, or human record knowledge is the cause of human advancement today. Also I did not see them define intellgence as it pertains to nonintellgent life.
This test really doesn't hold a lot of useful data. It doesn't calculate any of the statistics of those that died which is kinda of important when age and previous health conditions are important. It doesn't gather BMI, physical activity levels, ethnicity, secondary/multiple infections, cause of death, type 1 or 2 diabetes, etc.
Medical trials are hard because of all the variables. I think it actually works against this trial having it randomized especially when there is no placebo group.
I want to know what "assumptions" are being made to denote pricing. If it assumes wind and solar can produce constantly and consistently that is wrong. The solar power suffers greatly from the fact that the panels need to be at a specific angle to the sun and that the highest production can only occur for maybe 6 hours of the day.
I can already tell yhe lifetime use of both wind and solar are not calculated correctly. And as one person said wind and solar cannot produce on demand.
Wealth tax already exists in several forms. There is tax on property, income, employee wages, sales tax, etc. All are "wealth" taxes. Someone without wealth cannot be taxed!
Do the wealthy have more power in government than the average person? Yes and no. They have money to buy and make their voice loud, but so do other wealthy people that disagree. It is individual responsibility to vote and hold government accountable which it will always be. Taxing good behavior or morals does not work. A wealth tax on top of what already exists is bullshit. Not to mention if the wealthy control the government a wealth tax isn't going to change that. It will just allow the wealthiest access to more people's money that wasn't theirs to begin with.
Or government is acting according to the threat it poses. It has been three months now since it has moved globally. Likely longer actually. This isn't a plague killing everyone in its wake. It is the newest Y2k, 2012, Bird Flu, or Global warming hysteria push by governments and the media. Look at news from China, they are using it to be more in control except now with support. This going to blow over with little interuptions due to the virus itself. I bet more deaths arise from lack of service due to people inundating the ERs with negative cases than the virus causes.

Also, if everyone is SOOO concerned with CO2 emissions or waste in general why is Nuclear power not being discussed? It is only the most clean energy source on the planet considering waste to energy production lb for lb.
Also, does anyone know the pollutants created making solar panels or super light weight material for wind mills? If not, why not? That is something to be concerned about is it not?
Point is most if not all of you haven't a clue about "Climate Change" just like the political scene. For the last 60+ years "global cooling," "global warming," and lastly "climate change" have been used to make unethical people a lot of money playing off people's ignorance and fear.
