Thanks for the feedback -- like I said, the actual app is SSL, but you make a good point in that it's probably a good idea to have https for even the "static" landing pages.
Sure - and thanks for the comments/feedback. Yup, I built Budgetable by myself over the past year or so... I do UI and backend work so it worked out well.
I really tried to focus on making budgeting work.. to be honest, it was a very difficult task.. it's just a difficult problem to solve across the board (i.e., something that works for most people).
After getting through the beta, my focus will be on mobile.

Thanks for the feedback. This is a feature we're experimenting with. I think its appeal will be dependent mostly on its accuracy.. it's pretty accurate, but there will be room for improvements.
Most sites with the kind of traffic that could potentially run up the bill thousands of dollars will have checks in place to ensure a mistake like that wouldn't happen. Anything else would be irresponsible.. I'd challenge your assumption that Amazon is intentionally trying capitalize on mistakes... A company a big as Amazon doesn't have the time or need to even consider something like that.. And yes, I think you're being paranoid.
Please change the vote icon.. it looks just like the expand/collapse icon in OSX.. The indented replies make it even more confusing. Either that or get Apple to change theirs :p
