One metric I track is what % of users return the next day. I'm trying to bring it up to 10-20% before I assume there will be any revenue. Currently at 5% for my game, which may be due to difficulty.

Altman wants OTHERS to spend trillions are GPU. He needs the scaling hype to continue so he can keep getting investors to put money in hopes of an AGI breakthrough. If there is no funding, OpenAI is immediately bankrupt.

Except the point is that you shouldn't need to inspect your assembly. Assembly does exactly what the higher level code tells it to (just about) whereas you cannot read your English prompt and rely on it.

This is the wrong logic. Immigrants can make exactly the same as natives and still suppress wages.

Fundamentally how prices are set is someone sets a price, and if there are no takers they change the price. If a company offers a salary, and they bring in an H1-B to fill the role, they don't have to raise the salary. Over time it suppresses the wage.

This should be studied across different populations, not just one which is known for myopia.

Alternatively companies can make an offer without asking for salary expectations. They know the market and their pay range, so it's not a large loss for them to do so.

To make sure expectations are in ballpark, use a confidential salary survey.
