Many of us find it difficult to be relentlessly positive as we watch organizations that constantly paint themselves as the epitome of democracy act in a way counter to the repeatedly-expressed will of the people. I cannot smile my way into fascism.
Equinix AM3 provides heat to the Amsterdam Science Park.
Undisclosed large Swiss private corporate datacenter provides heat to residential complexes in the surrounding area, as well as being integrated with the grid operator and required to spin up generators and island itself on demand, as part of the license to operate.
"Online people" who care about this sort of thing are a microscopic subset of the voting base and do not represent what most people are aware of, understand, or care about. I live in Ireland, and you know what everyone in town and around my area talks about? Donald Trump. When I try and raise issues of national or European politics, I get whatabouted into more American politics. The bread is sweeter (it's the corn syrup) and the circuses more outrageous.
They hold all the cards, and have means - above-board or questionable, but effective nonetheless - to enact their will. Do you remember the Treaty of Lisbon referendumS, plural? Just keep asking the question until the plebs answer correctly.
How do you suggest people be intolerant? Essentially all the parties work toward these goals, so voting is ineffective. Speech is (more-or-less) allowed until it turns into strident protest, at which point the water cannons are brought out and a few token agitators are prosecuted for their instigation. I wouldn't want to call this tyranny, because I might get a knock on the door.
The government will investigate the government and find that the government did nothing wrong. A subsequent government review of the government's investigation of the government will find no wrongdoing on the part of the government. Ain't democracy grand?
And I'm not going back, either. Reckon I can slowly liquidate assets for as long as I have left to live. To hell with all this shit, my farm is enough.
Respond and ask them directly if they're accusing you of a crime, or if they intend to address the point of your message rather than making libelous statements that they may later be forced to explain should they persist.
I sold my P14s Gen5 AMD with 96GB RAM for more than I paid for it 18 months ago and resumed using my X230 w/i7-3615QE mod and 16GB DDR3 on Arch with MangoWM. It's fine. It's a worse computer, but not €1500 worse.
I tried this years ago when I got my first 4k TV. The cable was not even 50', more like 15', and the picture would green out and artifact horribly at the worst times. The solution eventually ended up being Moonlight running on an Nvidia Shield TV Pro, and the gaming PC shoved somewhere else where I didn't have to listen to the fans.
I agree with these points, but I will still be disagreeable and take a more nuanced position: Windows NT 5.0 Interim Developer Release build 1796 (and some preceding builds) were peak Windows UI, because they had all the points in the article, plus a "show desktop" button in the lower right corner that you could blindly throw your mouse at-- a feature relegated to a Quick Launch action from the subsequent build, and only restored in Windows 7.
I think the most obvious impact (good AND bad) will be from people who didn't have (or want) skills to begin with being empowered to have a model crank out custom software to do little things to make their lives better. Can't atrophy a muscle that doesn't exist!
Without revealing too much...I hired one when I worked in a senior role at a major financial institution, and apparently some (older Swiss) people in the team called him "curry person" to his face and told him he wasn't really [demonym for his naturalized European nationality]. So that was cool and nice.
The Continental and Renault motors like those in my Kangoo ZE and Zoe have so far proven fairly reliable, with the occasional exception being shaft bearings. The Q210 is particularly robust. I'm not aware of anybody having brush/slip ring issues yet.
I always had terrible trouble keeping it (and before it, Owncloud) updated and in sync with available dependencies on my Debian host. A few years ago, when I built a new NAS, I installed a snap, and that's been the ticket. It's pretty close to flawless now.
I'm running a PiKVM DIY on a pi02w. Adequate, but I'd like more functionality and performance.
I bought a SiPeed NanoKVM. It caught fire 15 minutes after being plugged in. Despite providing pictures of the charred PCB, they insisted I ship it back, costing me €20, and then tried 3 times during the transit to get AliExpress to void my return as fraudulent. I eventually provided proof of signed delivery to their people on the last possible day of my final appeal, and AliExpress ruled in my favor, refunding my purchase price but not the return shipping cost. Better some money back than none at all!
