This is your chance to lay the foundations of a platform aimed at helping government workers connect with each other, and with the solution providers that can help them.
We have high standards for quality, so you need to be able to solve challenging problems, and to solve them with clean, testable, and maintainable code. This is not a position for a code-pusher, you will be expected to think and communicate at a design and architectural level, as well as understanding the business needs to iterate on requirements effectively. Understanding everything from how to build good UX, down to designing solid data models and handling some devops, is critical.

Public Sector Network is looking for polyglot developers with 5+ years' experience in Java/Python with any web framework. This is your chance to lay the foundations of a platform aimed at helping government workers connect with each other, and with the solution providers that can help them best. We’ll be starting with Python/Django and eventually building out some services in Kotlin/Java if necessary. Frontends will be a mix of old-school Django/Bootstrap/jQuery with React/NextJS/etc. where it makes sense. We like to keep things simple, testable, and adaptable. Ideally, you’d be based in Australia, or near the GMT+2 time zone where our CTO is based.
Bonus points for AWS, devops, UX/UI sensibilities, etc.
