Yeah that was my thinking too. I was just checking to see if there were any obvious success stories that I was missing.

I was doing the same!

I like the SharkTank style presentation. Impressive stuff to be working on at any age but at 17.xxxxxxxx even more so!

What is it if you don't mind sharing?

Hey. Shame you have to shut it down. Great that you gave it a shot though. Do you have any plans for what is next?

Completely greenfield at work? None - I've always had to integrate some parts to some legacy application.

I would love to watch some people solving algorithm challenges (leet code type ones). It's something I have never grokked even though I code a lot, I wouldn't be able to solve any hard leet code problems and probably not many medium ones either.

I interviewed at a bank shortly after I graduated college. We had to do an exam as part of the interview process and for that a few candidates were at the office at the same time. I learned that one of the candidates worked there previously and was known to the hiring team. Immediately I knew I wasn't getting that job!

I believe platforms will always exist but imagine data will be more portable in the future. I think the focus should be on data.

I propose the Newton Web Protocol.

For each action that a user makes, an equal action is pushed back for the user to consume.

When a user interacts with a website (comment, like, save, upload, etc.) the website pushes data/an event which can be consumed only by the author. When consumed the data/event could be processed: saved or replicated to other sites or the authors own site.

Wow - mindblowing and kinda scary really.

I feel like this but with cloud services (AWS, Azure) instead of Open Source. They have solved most problems, are cost efficient and easily get buy in from upper management. Developers jobs are then to write configuration and plug things together. Very boring stuff!

It transfers the dependency from something they know (password) to something they have access to (phone or email). That thing they have access to could be compromised which then means their account is compromised. That is a risk acceptance question you need to consider.

Also to consider: What happens if a user loses their phone? How do they get access to their account?

This can pass for a startup but not for a proper business with customers.

Do you get audited?

This is everything I need except analytics. I need basic analytics like page views and visitor locations. Does anyone know of a naked blog that also includes some analytics? I this there is space between simple analytics and privacy invading tracking analytics.

I'd rather listen to the expert rather than the newbie for a keynote to be honest. Someone who just learned rails should not be doing the keynote.

That tweet sums up twitter for me. Vague, provocative and a useless analogy

I have been thinking about getting a Honda fit.. or a Jazz as they call it here. What is the boot space like? Wold it be suitable for a small family? 2 adults and a newborn baby?

500k in savings? That is quite the achievement. You should feel good about that.

I use Hey.com which allows me to screen first time senders [1] and it works really well. This is in combination to a spam filter.

Well investing in good stocks should be a lot easier.
