With SPCX shares never going down in price, SpaceX can acquire all companies in the US in exchange for its stock, so SpaceX itself is worth at least as much as the US GDP! (/s)

> the deliberately child free people I know all veer on the “soyboy” type of person

If you were to actually know parents at your local area daycare centers/schools, it'd quickly become evident that the "masculine"/"feminine" types are a definite minority.

would oboe be more effective then, albeit harder to will-power yourself into mastering?

I recommend reading essays from: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48090321. Tangentially related to your question.

TLDR is that it’s a job that can pay enough to keep one housed, and sometimes there are no alternatives.

I’d redirect the outrage away from the grunts denying care, and towards the leadership that set up those incentives. And even further, when the shareholders demand more profit because the line must go up, what to do?

Got me thinking, if 99% of code pushed to GH is generated by Claude, GH just becomes a free Claude distillation service. Gotta ban it on natsec grounds obviously.

The problem is it’s so rarely A/B tested, definitely not at scale. An engineer, who writes all these my-workflow-but-for-agents skills, proceeds to get the good outcome, while also seeing affirmations that the agent did follow the prescribed processes - that is considered a victory. In reality the outcome could’ve been just as good if they fed Claude a spec + acceptance criteria, or even a basic prompt for the simpler tasks.

I know this narrative is very popular these days cause it allows to frame voting against one’s interests as some sort of justified rebellious act, but let’s not forget that the opposition to renewables is a decades in the making, paid for, “opinion-shaping” operation (uncharitably, brainwashing)

You’d think so, but in fact it’s almost the opposite! You can own your land all you want but your neighbor has a final say on what’s allowed on your land.

> managing a swarm of idiot savant chatbots with "OK, that looks good" or "no, do it better" commands.

That’s what the management class thinks of software development process anyway, LLMs are just more idiotic and more savant than swes

Tangentially related, but how does one protect themselves against the bank account/brokerage being hacked? Can you print out a proof of funds/securities owned to take to court to be made whole?

> the DOJ can't turn around and charge you with a crime, if they advised you beforehand it was not a crime

this sounds like the kind of rules we, as a society, decided to dispense with, so the DOJ can absolutely turn around.

Not arguing with your other points, but I can't imagine "people who usually avoid AI" going through the motions to host OpenClaw.

It's how Steve Yegge became a "father of agentic orchestration" or something - there is some Canonical Universe Building exercise somewhere on twitter that just looks, for the lack of a better word, not rigorous. But good for all these people, I guess, for riding the hype to glory.

What does "contraction of circulating currency" look like in the post-cash world?

Agree, langchain was useless then and completely irrelevant now, but the idea that we need to orchestrate different LLM loops is extremely obvious.
