Ask HN: How can I know what spyware/bossware my employer is using on my machine?

Ask them? Otherwise take a look at running processes, method is different between Windows an Linux but a google will help you.
If I'm not mistaken, you have a right to know if they are tracking. They may not fully reveal what systems they use though. Same applies to video cameras in the office, which you do have a right to know if they are recording you.
I believe capabilities could and do range from tracking app/keyboard/mouse usage, uptime, screen viewing/remote controlling, and gaining admin access in many cases.
Is there a good way to know what, if any, bossware is installed and what is being tracked? I imagine it as a virus scanner that reports known bossware processes and their capabilities.
I’d love to hear your ideas and experiences around this.
