It doesn't, it claims it has links to far-right and extremist groups., and that's quite obviously true.
(Also nitpick, DW isn't paid for by the Rundfunkbeitrag, since it's target audience aren't Germans, but it is of course still state-funded)

The article never said the anti-lockdown movement was far right. It said there a links with the far right. Those have been alleged by intelligence services and also been demonstrated by Queerdenken marching with Neo-Nazis against this cause.
Christopher Street day was expected and did show a lot more discipline wearing masks or keeping distance https://tagesspiegel.de/berlin/csd-berlin-2021-im-blog-65-00...
It's not „Covid doesn't spread when you are protesting for a good cause!“. It's people who support progressive causes are more vaccinated and wear their masks.

lol, no. People have been excusing putatively "left-wing" protests like BLM since last summer long before there were any vaccines, and the vaccines appear not to do much to stop transmission of the Delta variant. As far as masks go, most of these protests take place outdoors, where masks move from the realm of "they probably don't make much difference" to "they definitely don't make any difference."

It is not such Protests are banned in general. It is just that on a specific weekend multiple protest (on an protest by protest basis) were banned in the capital.
"Judges in the German capital have moved to ban a number of weekend demonstrations amid fears they will lead to a rise in coronavirus infections."
The upper court said the Querdenker movement was characterized throughout Germany "by the fact that the participants used them to violate legal norms created to contain the risk of infection in a way that attracted public attention, in particular by disregarding the social distance requirement and the mask requirement." a pattern or behaviour that is also present today see picture www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/nach-verbot-fuer-corona-demos-in-berlin-hunderte-querdenker-blockieren-strassenkreuzung-in-westend/27471282.html

They're effectively banned in Australia too. Some see it as an affront to democratic rights, while others view the protesters as undermining their efforts to end the lockdowns as soon as possible.
> others view the protesters as undermining their efforts to end the lockdowns as soon as possible
I wonder how genuinely TPTB actually desire to end the lockdowns as soon as possible, given that they have granted them a blanket license in the eyes of many to ban protests and assemblies.

The purpose of the state media network is to provide „societal and political stability“.
The article itself is contradictory, as they claim the anti-lockdown movement is „far-right“, just below a screenshot of the movement holding a banner saying something about a „class war“ against Warren Buffet, which is an obvious far-left talking point.
At the very end of the article, they do mention shortly what the opposition party is saying about the lockdown protest bans, but the article conveniently leaves out what the protest with 35,000 people that did not get banned was about (pro-LGBT), which leaves a bitter taste that the current bans are political. (The „Covid doesn't spread when you are protesting for a good cause!“ kind of hypocrisy)
The courts themselves in Germany have been extremely supportive regarding anything the government did during the pandemic, which has led some politicians and lawyers (from the FDP, centre-liberal party) to call for an inquiry into the role/absence of the judiciary branch during the pandemic.
Note that I personally think the protesters were not tactically smart in insisting on not wearing masks, as 1) masks most likely do help to prevent the spread of the disease, and 2) the lack of masks was the main/only reason for the the protest bans. They could have written creative things on their masks, but insisted on not wearing them.
