Ask HN: Do regular users like the “neobrutalism” design or just the devs?

I associate it with Figma so I imagine its popularity extends beyond devs and into designers in general. That said, it feels like a trend that will eventually settle down again.
TIL what the design is called, I used to attribute it to gumroad until I saw it elsewhere.

Rephrasing the question to highlight the answer:
Do users like an aesthetic remarkable for it's not blending in anywhere, ease of construction, and lack of polish, or is the predilection towards brutalism a byproduct of the people making it not wanting to put in the care or work to make something fit?
A few monents thought should make the answer clear.
