For much of the last 5 years, I felt like the cost of computers and tech generally has been one of the few inflation debuffs I observed.
In terms of both inflation-adjusted and absolute dollar amounts, it seemed like Macbooks, prebuilt PCs, and Windows laptops were getting cheaper at the same time that specs and performance improved.
Looks like that's over now.
