Sometime it's not significant break, but some little difference may cause many support calls logged, depends on the organization size. And I believe many organization are still using legacy system.

But still, I disagree with the choice of words in your comment. I used VS Interdev for classic ASP debugging in the past, and I find it sufficient enough. Yes, I'm sure there are other IDE/tools which can do more than Interdev, but I don't think it will be several thousand leaps.
I completely agree with your argument for giving fair consideration. But put this aside, customer have the rights to choose their desired platform right? And since this is for government, they should have valid reason with their choice.
Well I'm not sure if they can grow it. But, isn't that mean you're going to provide a legal way for the cartel to make money? Now they can sell in legal market, and sure more people will be able to consume it since it's legal now, and the cartel will make 'more' money?
My previous question is actually to find out what kind of measurement, precaution or whatever it is, to make sure that Prop19 will cripple drug cartels, without creating another problem.
I understand the intention is to warn people. But IMO, there are plenty ways of warning or educating them, e.g. blogs, tweets etc. There's no need to 'prove' it just to make awareness.
I did tell my friends and family that a tool (Firesheep) has been released and what is the impact in layman language, and inform them to be careful when browsing through open wifi networks.
For research sake, I think it's worth to try. As for whether it's going to be implemented, it needs to be analyzed and planned properly. Don't make children think it's so easy to earn money.
I think the problem with nowadays education is they are very bounded with curriculum. Schools shouldn't be a place just to learn, but also to have fun, socialize, make friends.
My friends and I run a franchised food stall. After few months, we learned that manpower management is very critical as the turnover rate is very high in this business. Also stock management, to save operation cost.
Unfortunately, most of the time, we are not the decision maker, especially if the requestor is of high rank (either from internal or external user with ranked M - SM,GM,MD etc). Even though I explain this and that, in the end, they will just say "Can do? When will you deploy it?"
