This just isn't true, I work in central London amongst the bankers and they're usually the first to get out a bank branded umbrella, usually obnoxiously huge ones too.
Yeah, working in central London and there's always an abundance of umbrellas in use when it rains, really not sure what this commenter is talking about.
The previous and continuing actions of bad people but not "you" as a collective, just the racist ones. (I'm mixed race, not that it should make my point any more/less valid).
Premium services often cost a little more money, it's a trade off between money and time.
There's nothing stopping people flying if they can't afford the PreCheck, it's just a little longer.
Anyway the regular line actually gets shorter when more people use the PreCheck line.
Disclaimer: I'm a frequent traveller to the USA but I'm a UK citizen so I cannot use PreCheck.
> iPhone in hand, with my digital ticket ready to board; so easy and pleasant.
Most airlines provide the same digital boarding passes, I often travel with my pass added to Apple Wallet.
> If an alternative airport wanted to do things a little different, such as "fly at your own risk" "no lifeguard on duty", aka no TSA b.s., I'd happily take the "at your own risk" option rather than the TSA controlled situation we're subjected to currently.
The problem here is that it's not just "your own risk" if that plane is directed at a populated area.
Somebody with more funds and connections could ship your idea before you rendering yours obsolete. In the case of a hardware based startup they could even patent the idea first.
People don't steal ideas. Tell as many people as possible. Never ask someone to sign an NDA before hearing your idea, you'll instantly lose all credibility
I find this hard to believe and can see why experienced people would keep startup ideas close to their chest.
I think the author has indirectly replied to you via the article:
> Note: The numbers (700 Billion, etc) are there to give context and a sense of scale. This wasn’t a small boutique design company—which fwiw I’ve worked for a couple and loved it—this was the company who got valued by that amount because they’re doing something interesting. I personally don’t see money as a measure of worth, but as a freelancer and well, running my business, should not and cannot ignore it. Numbers such as ‘5000 miles’ are there just for stylistic reasons, saying ‘a flight’ would be way more banal. Chill and have a good one.
