1. traveling gives you experiences. You don't need to travel constantly to learn and gain from traveling.
2. Moving away from home (abroad or to a big city) gives you again a lot of new experiences. New insights, new world view.

Fortnite uses Unreal Engine 5, the most advanced Game Engine in existens which sourcecode is freely available for a few years now.
Open sourcing old stuff is a lot of effort. You need to find all people involved or know the legal status of the copyright. You need to go through all the code in case you had some properitary stuff in there which you might have paid for. And you need to do all of this next to what you normally do without a direct benefit.
What is then your initial latency if i start an AI job 'fresh'? You still need to hit the backend right? How long do you then keep this data in your cache?
Btw. while your experience works well for Netflix, in my company (also very big), we have LoBs and while different teams utilize their storage in a different way, none of us are aligned on a level that we would benefit directly from your solution.
From a pure curiosity point of view: Do you have already enough customers which have savings? What are their use cases? The size of their setups?

I'm also not sure that its a good architecture to have your servers inbetween my S3. If i'm on one cloud provider, the traffic between their S3 compatible solution and my infrastructure is most of the time in the same cloud provider. And if not, i will for sure have a local cache rcloning the stuff from left to right.
Suffering is an expresion / concept we humans have because we called a certain state like this. Suffering is something a organism presents if that organism can't survive or struggles with survival.
Now i'm a human and my empathy is a lot stronger for humans, a lot, than for shrimps.
Btw. i do believe if we would really care and make sure fewllow humans would not need to suffer (they need to suffer because of capitalsm), a lot of other suffering would stop too.
