Some of these machines (at least in europe) are actually required by law to average out to a certain return percentage over a set number of bets.
This means they need to compensate for naturally accuring bad streaks. (And good...)
Word of advice: don't take vitamins ADEK without advice from a physician for extended periods or in high doses. These are fat soluble so you can have too much of them.
Bit of a late reply but almost all companies use something called a digipass, you insert your card and input a challenge code and your pin.

Yeah, where I'm from (Belgium) 2fa is the industry standard by now, and fraud cases were reduced immensely when a previous employer of mine made the switch several years ago. But like you mentioned, this is not just up to devs in most cases...
I think you will find more then enough people willing to answer questions. Not necessarily hn readers though...
Your bottleneck will be the question askers, people who want to ask (random) people questions. You would at least need to have some audience selection, e.g. only ask this question to asian females aged 28-48 interested in crocheting. That way the question askers maybe get some value out of it.
I use this approach as well, but I also have a filter in my mailbox that sends those mails to a folder 'notes to self', to avoid excessive notifications and inbox clutter.
I think what frozenport means with 'paying attention' is paying attention when not in an active and participating role and more in a passive, listening role. Where it's much harder to stay focused. But like frozenport said it is necessary to acquire a lot of knowledge reasonable fast in a college setting for example.
Self study is also an option (I have seen many do it) but not everyone is good at that.
Try splitting up the larger task in smaller parts and use a todo list/task backlog to check of the smaller parts. Looking at the list of tasks also makes it easier to get into the mindset you were in when solving the issue.
I think the reasoning is that if you convince an accelerator/incubator to accept you your product has a higher chance of succeeding. This will mean that the chance of you still existing (and starting to pay) after 3 years should be significantly higher.
Depends, if you want to make your own idea in to a game start simple. Implement 1 core mechanic, you can't care about UI, Multiplayer, performance, or anything like that. Make a proof of concept, make it as simple as you can.
Iterate.
The idea is right, but I would change the blue text, in some screenshots it's very hard to read.
Another thing would be to change the screenshots so they have a story. Alice is selling her 2nd hand car to Bob for example, with branching storyline for succesful and unsuccesful resolution.
I really like the concept!
However I think your landing page could use some work. The call to action (Registering) isn't as clear as it could be. What I would do is add a big button 'register' and ask the user to pick a way to register after that. At first glance the facebook logo could just be a link to your facebook page or something.
Also you need some way to lure people in, some screenshots, a short video. I want to know in what state of development a service is before I sign up!
I was thinking the same thing. In a way it might even extend the lifetime of the fad, instead of starting to die out this being spread over the news gives a fresh impulse to make people show the game to others.
The 24 hour window adds another element to talk about. People telling eachother "You can only get it the next few hours". Followed by people checking if it is really gone, and (hopefully) playing the game again, or lending their phones to others who didn't get it.
If he really wanted it all to stop he could just update it to remove the ads en delete it after. Without announcing it on twitter.
Not that I blame him, he got lucky and if these are all marketing moves, well, good job :)
