It's not privilege, it was demanded by workers who fought hard to obtain it. We should be more conscious of this, if only to help stave off the constant attempts to erode what our ancestors gained for us.
I'm not an AI advocate by any means, but its usefulness is not all or nothing. I use it at work a lot - scanning our documentation + data warehouse + version control system all at once saves me a lot of time. I can let it build boiler plate code (via skills) and the actual code implementation as a template/POC for me to then edit, again saving a lot of time.
Outside of my work - AI video has reached a point where creative artists are generating engaging, realistic content that is genuinely entertaining. IMO the common thread is that in the right hands it can produce amazing things. For anyone without the expertise, it defaults to slop.

I don't think any of the big streaming content providers have native apps on linux and no browser can pass through audio bitstreams to HDMI. Video quality is limited as well.
Having a dedicated streaming box is better in this regard

When the construction worker messes up a job that then causes injury or damages the property they absolutely get sued. The state can even get involved if the mistake is deemed criminal negligence.
In your example the owners will often take the construction company or small business owner to court. Most trades people negotiate and redo the work for free or much reduced cost to avoid this.
In office settings if you expose PII you will likely be fired.

He may be the first person to describe the process in writing (that we know of), but human beings have been experiencing the effects of this since we first attempted to trade with one another.
I think differences in the business determine whether the maintenance/understanding aspect is important. If developing an MVP for a pitch or testing markets then any negatives aren't much of a consideration.. if working in a mature competitive or highly regulated domain then yeah, it's important
I don't know if biometrics can solve this either.. identify fraud applied to running malicious AI (in addition to taking out fraudulent loans) will become another problem for victims to worry about

No race is a homogenous group equally benefiting and suffering from historical and societal privilege and disadvantage.
A large proportion of the majority ethnicity in the U.S live in and suffer from generational poverty. As an absolute number it would far exceed the number of people suffering the same from minority ethnicities. If it weren't for other influences strongly promoting awareness of non-economic differences, I'd like to think (perhaps naively?) that these groups of people would find strong commonalities with one another and organize activities as a united front to change their circumstances.

Humans are punished for plagiarism all the time. Myriad examples exist of students being disenrolled from college, professionals being fired, and personal reputations tarnished forever.
When a LLM is trained on copyright works and regurgitates these works verbatim without consent or compensation, and then sells the result for profit, there is currently no negative impact for the company selling the LLM service.
Responses are always to check your prompts, and ensure you are using frontier models - along with a warning about how you will quickly be made redundant if you don't lift your game.
AI is generally useful, and very useful for certain tasks. It's also not initiating the singularity.
Why buy the book when big AI can add it to their training data. Multitudes of people can then enjoy slightly higher quality output without you being compensated a single cent.
