> Don't buy domain names I'm not sure I understand this one - anyone have an explanation?

When you buy a domain name, you are supposed to supply accurate ownership information. If you do not, the registry can yank your domain when they discover that. Most registrars obfuscate/hide the information in their whois service, but they still need to have it to comply with the rules of the registry. That information can be subpoenaed.

The purchase/renewal transaction(s) also leave a trail that can be followed.

> an electric car has about the total-cost-of-ownership co2 footprint as a diesel (sic!)

That's nonsense, ICE propaganda which has been thoroughly debunked. Cf. https://energypost.eu/latest-data-shows-lifetime-emissions-o...

> I ride a bike or go by foot

Excellent! Can't be beat in terms of co2 footprint!

> It might be fun to release a Port of Los Angeles savegame that challenges folks to unhork the port.

That would be awesome!

Azure is a typical Microsoft product: it doesn't work all that well, but you can get the job done if you just buy more of it (to work around the deficiencies).

From a business perspective, this is brilliant. From a technical perspective it's not awesome, obviously.

I don't think you quite appreciate how much (some) companies (including startups) spend on public clouds.
