I skimmed through some of that and nothing implied similar behavior. Do you have a better reference?

Where do you think he learned it? While working at Apple from them doing the same type of thing.

> It’s possible this kind of behavior is endorsed throughout, or it’s possible it’s limited to this specific group.

As others have pointed out elsewhere this is literally the type of behavior OpenAI is founded on. Gathering up other people's IP and using it to build their own thing. It's how all the big LLMs are built.

GPU power density is very high. The B300, for example, is rated at 1400W TDP. You can fit a lot of B300s in the space of a washing machine.

OP said after 2008. There are many cars made after 2008 that do not have intrusive systems. For example, my 2018 Camaro has none of that. The only proximity sensors it has are side vehicle indicators and all they do is turn on a light.

New cars with intrusive driver monitoring alerts are obviously going to be terrible but you can still buy vehicles made prior to this change.

The intrusiveness of these systems varies significantly between manufacturers. Don't buy one with an annoying, intrusive system.

Yup, they wrote the paper.

Abolishing ICE and demilitarizing borders is not the same thing as supporting open borders.

They're car headlights, which are indeed a real thing.

> True brutalist web design.

Concrete web design? What does that mean?

I guess you mean the site is simple but that's not what brutalism is.

> They both profited, enormously, off sexual exploitation and human trafficking around the world by (knowingly) serving as a directory for pimps.

From what I read back when this happened you have it backwards. The classifieds on CL and other sites for sex were were largely individuals choosing to do it. They were not being trafficked or pimped. By closing those listings down it would end up pushing sex workers to find other sources of clients, like pimps.

When I tried this with a self-hosted Qwen model it hallucinated all kind of stuff about me being deeply involved with early Bitcoin development, conferences, and libraries.

As someone who has never dealt with anything close to this scale, why would it take 18 months to migrate? Is this poor config management, a lack of automation, or something else?

Maps peaked after Google acquired Waze in 2013 and integrated the data. Since then they've added worthless annoying social features and more advertising.

> The problem is if someone figures it out and starts sending you spam to {random}@domain.tld.

It's a non-issue. I've been using a catch all domain for at least a decade. I get a small amount of spam to random made up emails but not enough to care about plus it all gets caught and filtered.

It makes sense that an open source project would focus on one series of phones since their time and resources are limited.

That said, Google's hardware is behind their competitors and they've had a lot of problems in the past few years. The Pixel 8 Pro has hardware WiFi problems, the 9 and 10 are both minor updates with prices that are far too high, the 10 is eSIM only, etc.

If you pay $2200 for a 3090 you're a sucker. They're not worth anything close to that.

It's not. It's scientific ignorance combined with lies (Wakefield) and misinformation. There may be some small percentage of people who completely avoid injections but most people who understand vaccines accept the benefits outweigh the short term fear / pain of needles.

The problem is accessibility. GPUs have gotten expensive and in some cases hard to get. You also need the supporting hardware to use them.

I'd love to have multiple large VRAM GPUs but I can't justify the costs when I have plenty of other more important things to spend that money on.

How do you block ads and invasive trackers? DNS only?
