Weird that we chose these numbers because they have many divisors, and yet no one ever says "it's a third past 10", only "half past" and "a quarter past".
Personally, I wouldn't use anything beyond ASCII in a password. I don't want encoding bugs to lock me out of my encrypted partition or bank account, thank you very much.
Random shower thought: I wonder if it would be better in the long term to stop digging out archeological findings. The more we excavate, the more damage we do for future archaeologists who will have the superpower of reading these texts without even needing to dig the scrolls free and open them.
Root on computers is insecure. Malware can steal secrets from other applications. We're just used to it, but the Android security model is much better.
Because that would be pointless. If you have use-after-free exploit mitigations active, apps can test for its presence by simply trying to use after free. The only way to make the mitigation unnoticeable would be disabling it.
