I get a vibe as well, though I don't share your theory of it. Older math/CS papers have a more conversational feel to them, and tend to assume that the reader shares a kind of philosophical disposition. Today, research papers often have a very corporate feel, and are bristling with "motivation". But I don't think it's at all difficult to write such papers without referencing race or gender. Many people do it every day, successfully. I'm curious why you think that race and gender have invaded math/CS.

I was just thinking about this problem yesterday, in the context of polynomial vs exponential runtimes!

Good reminder of how vacuous even thoughtful-sounding writing can be.

Which part is the "bottleneck"? Is it the idea that at one point nearly all mammals were nocturnal and that it became advantageous for some to transition to diurnal since there was less competition for resources during the day?

Not trying to be a dick, but it's "inherent".

I thought people were generally pleased with Ghidra. Is this not the case?

Searchable encryption trades privacy for efficiency. However, the privacy loss can be tuned. For example, SE constructions will specify whether they leak search-pattern (how many of the same queries a client makes), access-pattern (the frequencies with which different items are accessed) or other things. Usually, a client can pay in storage/bandwidth to mitigate these leakages.
