this feature is actually related to note taking though. its not like evernote where they were off making nonsense contacts or food rating apps instead of improving their core note taking app
seeing as the phone is a chonker, you could maybe fit a thin screen on the top side of the phone, which would let you see some basic info without having to take the phone out of your pocket. (as long as the headphone jack was at the bottom and the power button on the side)
i haven't done extensive research so there could be thinner gloves out there, but i bought a pair of "edz merino fingerless gloves" a few months ago and they are less restrictive than the pair i had before
still end up with cold-ish fingers though which feels similar enough to cold hands. im thinking what i need is something like mittens but instead of something that wraps around your fingers, it would just rest on top and keep the air off while your fingers are free to move underneath
im using kodi myself. i used libreElec for a few years which is basically just kodi as an OS. i switched to a OSMC recently which is a bit more expensive than a raspberry pi but the hardware and then OSMC skin is a bit nicer
i mainly use it with the jellyfin plugin so all of my media is stored on a NAS and kodi just acts as the player
capslock to ctrl works really well on thinkpad keyboards. with the fn key in the corner instead of ctrl, you can press fn with the base of your palm and then press the F keys with your middle finger. i can reach F8 without mashing any other keys with my palm
how long did it take for the battery to start degrading? its odd how people never seem to mention that problem when they are taking about how great their bt headphones are
I think bluetooth receivers are the way to go. you get the wireless aspect for the most part and can change track/volume without having to take out your phone.
you can use it any headphones or earbuds you have
with the fiio one I own, you can charge it while using it so you are never caught if you are near a power source or have an external battery chargers. and if not then at least you can quickly switch to being directly plugged in
there's also a much better chance that I will be able to replace the battery at some point in the future. with bt headphones, they are so small that it would be almost impossible to take it apart successfully
really? I thought they would be more expensive in the long run since the battery will be degraded in 10 or so years to the point where you would have to constantly charge them
I suppose it depends on what brands of wired headphones you would normally buy but it would probably be cheaper to just reinforce the part that keeps breaking on you
Autohotkey is such a beast. I really miss that now that I've started using Linux. i spent nearly 4 years writing scripts to automate all sorts of things in windows but to recreate them on linux might take me much longer since i would have to learn maybe 6 or 7 different programs just to get the same features. but alas Windows was doing my head in so I had to jump ship!
