But we are at the center of a log-scale. One that for powers much greater than 3 or 4 in either direction takes serious cognitive processing to comprehend. When you start discussing 10 or 20 powers in either direction your brain is woefully under powered. Now that is only speaking of the 3 length-based dimensions, considering a 1000, a million, or 13 billion years in either direction is an even harder task.
And besides why would our "centrality" be particularly interesting? Maybe all the fun stuff is happening on million year time scales, or at the quantum level?

Your next assertions are even more ludicrous. You honestly believe a guy who was at the head of a multi-billion dollar global corporation and now the head of a multi-billion dollar global aid/research/activist/whatever organization doesn't understand world and intergovernmental politics? I mean come on..
But given the history of rigged results in this country it is unlikely that this was some mistake in testing the app. The more reasonable explanation is that they just faked the data and accidentally released it. In fact their app probably doesn't even need to actually bring in real data, it just shoots out whatever they tell it.

What are some other areas in Rwanda/East Africa that software is taking hold? It seems that many of the software projects are aiding NGO and the state, which is good, but in some respects it seems like the 'NGO' economy if you will is a bit artificial.
Could you give me examples of companies or ventures that are using software (or frameworks like yours) to build profitable software companies? What are the opportunities like?

I'm not sure of the timeline of this audit, but it seems apparent that the agency can do whatever it wants, regardless of whether it is breaking the rules and whomever is tasked with enforcing those rules has no power.

It is the huge wealth disparity in SV, the complete apathy towards public policy/politics, and a mind sight like yours that evades all responsibility.
Here are the facts: record numbers of poor people, staggeringly high amount of homelessness, public schools that are essentially privatized by wealthy parents. Then look at the campuses of Facebook and Google, you practically don't even need to leave, everything you want is at your job so why venture out and see the problems of the unwashed masses?
All of this isolation creates a sort of cognitive dissonance, where everyone thinks they are solving the worlds problems by creating a new social app, when some major problems affecting real people are sitting right in front of them. I'm not saying SV is inherently wrong, but a dose of reality and some acceptance of responsibility would go a long way.
It looks like you've built this with a focus on helping NGOs and their information gathering needs. Have you guys done any work with more focus on consumer apps, for example a sms based weather app? What is the field like for software of that sort? I'm hoping you could point me in the direction of people doing work like that.
Is it common for east africans to ever use their phones for uses other than calling? Are there any sms services that are in widespread use? Sorry for inundating you with questions, I'm just curious about this area of development. Thanks.

But it didn't. They are smart guys. They'll learn that what they didn't probably wasn't advisable and they probably won't do it again, but they got away with it. They have a great story to tell and more users of their service.
