The internet in my belief has always been the infrastructure and foundational layout for setting the stage for what will become the framework for conducting the rules of engagement of a true one world nation
Step 1 was Effortless communication. (internet)
Step 2 Will be effortless currency and exchange of value with decentralized authority. (Maybe Bitcoin)
Step 3 Will be politics and authority protocol for decision making.
Step 4 will be to Establish a real defence program to protect all of the above.
The road will be ugly, chaotic, confusing, complex, but I really do believe that humans are racing towards establishing the 1st principles of survival, which is to identify 1st as a humans of the planet earth and 2nd as whatever other belief one might have.
This question strikes me as something I was searching for as well. About 3 years ago someone shared this with me and it changed my whole perspective of the "Life KPIs" I was monitoring.
Here it is:
"Life is not about happiness but rather the ability have purpose, to do something meaningful, and to have it matter that you lived at all. Keep adding value to the world big or small, and you'll never be short of gratitude."
I wont be prescriptive, instead, all I can tell you is that it's changed my life. I started optimizing for the above and haven't looked back since.
Hey Mate,
I've been into web development and ruby scripting as a hobbyist for 3 years now.
It has helped me significantly in my professional and personal life.
The best way to make meaningful contribution is to become a true beginner. It's hard work but will change your life. You will have an entirely new framework to pull on when thinking about problems.
I would start with something like Lambda School Machine Learning Free Mini Bootcamp and then let your natural curiosity take you from there.
Have you tried goodui.org... this site is an open source a/b testing of peoples UI/UX designs. It shows results of the communities a/b tests. I find it an awesome resource.
Hey Mate,
Just be yourself and own being yourself. In my opinion people if your a good person, enjoyable to work with, and mean well you will rise to the top no matter what. Some people use excuses as crutch for being shitty people. You got this. Good Luck.
Agreed.I try to run strict pomodoros. Also, when ever I start to feel lethargic, I do a few squats or push ups until failure and then I always go outside for some real air (day or night). It makes me a productivity machine.
I like zooming out and taking a birds eye view every now and then.
From there I start to deep dive on things that are interesting to me at that point in time
Based on those interests, i'll start to look for things or experiences around me that I could start to get my hands dirty with.
IE:
Months ago I was in a low inspiration vibe. When I zoomed out, I realised I was super interested in cheese. I decided I wanted to jump into a cheese making class. I found a master cheese maker in Vermont headed down for a one day one on one. From there the magic happened
When I got home my inspiration for so many different parts of my life was on fire. Sometimes you just gotta deep dive on the things that your interested in and it will pay dividends in non related areas of your life!
