I am not convinced it's "SEO" or plenty of other small companies with perfect SEO would be similarly high.

Over the years Google has gotten especially questionable in various content it recommends, and as an opposite, hiding wikipedia from results unless specifically adding wiki.

I always thought that SEO errors should boost results to punish content factories.

Software engineers are not Engineers if we use the strict definition of Applied scientists.

Software engineers are forced to use tradition and Authority due to abstraction.

I say this as a programmer.

Entertainers are not Engineers.

They fall for marketing significantly easier and use Veblen goods to signal wealth and power.

Then they get used to a system and it's all they know. It's more effort to change and they get locked in.

Medical is beyond Science unfortunately. The club exists to protect their extraordinarily high wages and protect them from punishments.

There's a reason physicians don't consider themselves scientists. If they make an error they can claim they knew from Tradition/Art/Authority.

It's politically impossible to outspend the US Physician Cartel (AMA), so I doubt we will have a Science based alternative or science based reform.

I think rice is the opposite.

I had a coworker say that since rice absorbs water, it can also do this during digestion.

I noticed a similar effect when I was drinking too much. I would only be hungover after having rice.

And to clarify a point, it was fried rice that cooled, meaning it wasn't watery.

App makers should not be allowed to collect data. Only Apple should be allowed to. And Apple should be opaque about it while running contradictory advertising about privacy and security.

Btw is it gaslighting when Apple claims privacy but gives your information away to organizations like the US and Chinese government?
