I'm watching as AI afficianados generate code and place copyright licenses on them with some amusement. It's AI generated, so copyright does not apply, nor do your licenses. If you want to argue otherwise, then you have failed to realize that work-for-hire is only automatic for human employees, not AI. So if AI generated code ever does enjoy copyright protection, it's owned by Anthropic and friends, once again, not you.
I'm not using AI agents. I'm not worried about getting left behind. I'm keeping my skills sharp while AI users let theirs dull. My code still enjoys the force of copyright, while they sit precariously between no copyright or copyright they don't own.
I am. Be a parent. That's your job. Not mine. I don't have children. Stop expecting me to protect yours. The childless are a majority now. Get used to hearing this more often.
His mistake was going to an American hospital at all. For what he paid, he could get a round trip ticket to literally anywhere in the world, then just get realistically priced medical care. The entire American medical establishment needs to end. It's cancer. I won't go. Not even if the alternative is my death. I just won't go. I should probably get some kind of dogtag to wear that explicitly states this if I'm ever knocked unconscious. Just leave me in the ditch man, American medical care is a fate worse than death.
Love the last one. I'm reminded of an article I read yesterday, where the author complains about how all the affordable housing was built in low income areas! "Oh no! They built the affordable housing where the people who need it are at!! NOOO!"
Now let's say the price collapses by 50%. You're stuck and can't sell in a "frozen" housing market... like how the housing market has been since May 2022. And the problem is structural. And it's only going to get worse as interest rates continue to rise to battle inflation. Here's a nice explainer.
>Venues did kick out a lot more than 2% of their existing customers until they upgraded their bloodstream.
Only temporarily. Some never mRNAed their bloodstream, then everyone with brain fog forgot about the Trump vaccine and the new normal went back to normal.
Now remind me of every time you said Tiobe didn't matter when we pointed out Rust wasn't in the top 10 :)
I'm more interested in that massive collapse in python over the past year. Is it due to everyone running for the doors just before the AI bubble pops? Or did AI make rewriting everything Python into Rust a reality perhaps?
I really can't understand the moral compass of people who would pirate other peoples' works under "fair use" to train AI, only to turn around and try to claim ownership of them when AI regurgitates it.
I was just about to complain about being locked into one kernel version, being at the mercy of a single vendor, but you said it so much better than I would have :) Thanks.
