This is actually nuts. You can't even constantly implement "age verification" at the system level in a way that makes sense across world cultures.
The only sane way to do this is you were playing along with arbitrary legislative age-gaters would be to add a generic "additional user info" blob to the account fields, if it didn't already exist.
Desktop and laptop sellers need to end their abusive business relationship with Microsoft, and start selling systems with a Linux distribution. They'll save costs while selling a better product. People who know they need Windows will always have the option to install it themselves.
When you work on a pre-existing codebase, you don't understand the code yet, but presumably somebody understood parts of it while building it. When you use AI to generate code, you guarantee that no one has ever understood the code being summoned. Don't ignore this difference.
Have you ever been frustrated with software before? Has a computer program ever wasted your time by being buggy, obviously too slow or otherwise too resource intensive, having a poorly thought out interface, etc?
So we should all work to become better programmers! What I'm seeing now is too many people giving up and saying "most code is bad, so I may was well pump out even worse code MUCH faster." People are chasing convenience and getting a far worse quality of life in exchange.
