"Simply put, someone will always be needed to do the job—a software engineer (SWE). Today, SWEs don't punch cards to program; in the future, they may not even 'write' code. However, the job will continue to exist, even if it looks different."

aws, gcp, azure (the ones I work with), they don't provide a off the shelf solution to block after some budget ammount. This is not aceptable.

There are much nore than 2 types of programers, one you forgot are the ones who just need the job and any tool that helps is welcome, also, there the ones that don't care for anything and does programming just because is the only thing that's available to jot work on sales or burger flipping, and the list goes on

what most otimist people don't undestant is that AI is a capitalist dream, work without proletariat, everything automated to serve the rulling class, but anyway, we can always eat the rich.

there is no "average worker", this is a statistical concept, life in europe is way better them in US for low income people, they have healthcare, they have weekends , they have public tranportation, they have schools and pre-schools , they lack some space since europe is full populated but overall, no low income (and maybe not so low) will change europe for USA anytime.
