I recently bought a Blackberry because of its built in encryption features. It's a great phone but is missing two popular apps: Evernote and Audible.
If you made an app to substitute for either one and charged a few bucks for it, you'll make passive revenues for a long time. Not only that, you'll be loved by crackberry users the world over.
Seriously, how many business types subscribe to Audible and to Evernote? And people are looking for more secure communications. It's an incredible opportunity.
Google and Facebook are part of the military surveillance complex, it's as simple as that. They are privatized surveillance companies who serve the US government.
It should be considered enemy soil for anyone who believes in privacy and freedom.
I'm almost completely off Google (started my exodus late last year) and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it'd be.
I moved into the Microsoft ecosystem.
It's all there. Bing is surprisingly good, SkyDrive surpasses even Dropbox and Office 365 w/ OneNote is the best office suite available. I even got a Windows Phone 8 (yeah, I can get carried away sometimes).
The point is, there's a whole new world out there that's sans Google, and it's probably better than you imagine it to be.
It's easy to see why Google banned these guys and not Amazon.com or Walmart. I could sum it up in one word: trust. Amazon and Walmart have it, these guys don't.
Personally, if I'm going to buy a knife, I'll buy it from Amazon. I trust them on a whole bunch of levels that I don't trust these guys.
Is it fair? I've been doing SEO / PPC for over a decade and its never, ever been fair.
I seems the overall useage and popularity of bitcoins has gone down though. I haven't had a single purchase with bitcoins in about a year at Flow and Zone Games ( http://flowandzonegames.com ) and that's quite a change from the one-a-week clip before.
I don't understand the currency so maybe I'm overpricing.
This is reminiscent of the Taoist virtue "to hold fast to the submissive is called strength." Or in other words, if a person never competes, he can never suffer defeat.
EDIT: the moderators are idiots.
