For me Paint.Net is like foobar2000 or Mp3Tag: they make Windows great.
I miss this tool now that I switched to macOS for work. Is there something similar to Paint.Net for macOS?
Is Product Manager the same thing as Product Owner (like in the Scrum framework) ?
PO and software engineer are roles demanding many things and I find it hard for the same person to do the two jobs.
I agree in part with the article on the fact that developers must have empathy and must think about the final user but I don't think it means that it's the developer role to gather all the domain knowledge, analyze the market to decide which feature has priority, etc.
It doesn't mean that developer can't confront the PO's vision, challenge a feature (in the same way than developer can suggest really good idea for UI or UX evening if it's not their expertise).
