Because antitrust laws from other countries say the clearance is required if the merger affects their market.

Both Microsoft and Activision have customers in the UK. The merger will affect these customers, so the UK regulator needs to approve the merger.

Yes, you can still read those[1]:

> Will I lose access to issues for my Kindle Newsstand subscription that have already been delivered to my library? > No, you will continue to be able to read any issues already delivered by visiting Your Kindle Library.

It warrants an investigation, but maybe publishers don’t even distribute that much via Amazon devices. In this case, the competitive effects would be small.

> As the city expanded without following a pattern of rectangular city blocks, the established street numbers stopped making sense.

Well… there are many places in the world where the cities don’t follow a grid system and they are perfectly able to be numbered, so it really isn’t much of an explanation.

At least in the case of Portugal, the visa usually used by retired people is the D7 visa (not the golden visa), which requires a source of income not related to your work (eg: pensions). So you still have hope!

> Everytime I want to go somewhere the first thing I need to do is to plan how to park once I were there. It's awful.

I’d say it’s a fair requirement: if you want to carry a big machine around, you are responsible for leaving it somewhere adequate.

Enforced parking lot requirement is just obliging other people to reserve mostly unproductive land in their properties, and that has very negative effects, such as creating big distances between destinations and, as a consequence, making public transportation less efficient and walking more difficult. It usually (always?) makes cities worse.

From the About Us page:

> The Chaplin office in Paris represents the Chaplin rightsholding companies (see below), as well as the Chaplin family.

It’s not really in their interest to mention his failings.
