Put it back the way it was. That worked very well with a mouse!
Windows 8 is all change for the sake of change rather than a rational incremental improvement.
I REALLY like Windows 8 for the non-metro stuff. They've fixed loads of really annoying broken things from Windows 7. Unfortunately, they broke just about everything else with Metro. If you've ever seen the corresponding Windows Server release (with Metro I shit you not - on a Server!??!?!), you will see armies of sysadmins facepalming in unison. It's terrible.
I'd rather have a Windows 7.5 than a Windows 8 at the moment.
Ultracapacitors are great and all that but they can discharge incredibly quickly causing all sorts of problems (fires, explosions, dead equipment etc). These are several orders of magnitude more likely than LiPoly cells to do it as well. They are much more suceptible to damage too which can cause internal shorts.
An analogy: a traditional LiPoly cell is like a twisted rubber band waiting to unwind. An ultracap is like an inflated balloon ready to pop.
Also, they are not trialled for longevity yet and are expensive.
They sound good but are as usual, just an engineering trade off.
Hence why all my family members who work in construction have very cheap Nokia phones. The problem is solved.
They work in crappy environments, cost $20 to replace (my father in law has 5 of the things in his truck) and last days on a battery. They also tend to still work if you drop them lots.
Also, technology doesn't really help construction that much really unless it's on a large scale (which actually makes up a very small proportion of actual work done).
