Yeah it makes more sense if you consider the word Windows' to be in possessive form.

Shipping labels, tickets etc. Printers suck, but I can rely on paper being suitable for its purpose. Can't say that about most alternatives (mostly phone apps).

That joke is actually pretty old. In fact the link you posted says that it's not his joke. I don't really know where it came from, but it's certainly not from that guy.

This is nice. I run dark mode everywhere and I used to use notepad for quick notes and stuff. Problem is that notepad is a giant wide window so it would burn my eyes out when opened, so I had to switch to something else. Now I can use it for that purpose again... Providing I move to Win11 that is. Still not a fan of the task bar lacking features I use a lot.

Ah so because it's flagged as offensive you can't use it in an offensive manner on the internet. Got it. Makes perfect sense. THINK OF THE POOR APPLE MONITORS.

What issue? There's nothing wrong with being offensive, and again, in this case that was entirely the point. He's being offensive to Apple's implementation of monitor settings. He's not even wrong about it since it's a rather big pain point if you're mac user who wants a multi monitor setup.

Posting the definition won't change anything. You're tone policing the guy with literally 0 legitimate reasons to do so.

The first definition is "very stupid or foolish" which seems quite apt given the context. The second one talks about a disability, which does not really seem applicable since we're talking about monitors and not people.

So where is the issue exactly? He used the word correctly as far as I can tell.

>OFFENSIVE very foolish or stupid.

Still seems very apt, no?

Google's main business is ads, not Search, but even then Google still owns YouTube, Gmail and other things that are used by people every single day. On top of that they haven't been particularity neutral as far as politics are concerned and have even changed search for political reasons (fighting "fake news"). So yes, Google is definitely an influencer just like Facebook is.
