This read one of the huge upsides with using Google photos...
Would be interesting to know why they made this change, the link doesn't really explain it.
Legal troubles when people delete the location history, yet the estimated locations are still attached to photos in their account.
It's a shame because on many devices tagging photos with GPS locations is unreliable - especially when the camera is opened and a photo taken all before GPS locks. And for indoor photos.
