Which just means Chromium but with Microsoft’s telemetry, correct?
They could put some unique features in it, I haven't actually tried Edge on Windows. It probably be the same as the macOS and Windows versions. I don't know if those are just Chromium wrapped in a Microsoft skin or if they actually got something worthwhile.
Yes and syncing to Microsoft’s cloud. I think that this matters the most for people picking this on Linux given how common it has got in the enterprise.
Hooray.
I'd love to know the overlap between Linux users and those who prefer Edge as their main browser.
I use both Windows and Linux on desktop. For personal web browsing, Firefox is my main driver but for work-related stuff I generally use Google Chrome.
The moment Edge-ium went GA on Windows I was able to uninstall Google Chrome permanently and I will be giving Edge a go on Linux as a potential replacement for Chrome there as well.

Thank you! I'm also tied to Chrome for work, and most of my Linux these days is via WSL, so web browsing is not a thing I do there.
I wonder what kind of a person would use Edge on Linux.
People switched to Linux to get away from Microsoft, so it makes perfect sense to me that these same people will now use a Microsoft browser that violates their privacy .....
