Ask HN: Help, the Internet is covered in snot and earwax ads

After turning off Google personalised advertising, the Internet is now littered with snot and earwax ads for me. These ads are everywhere.

I click on the top-right corner and report each ad as offensive. I have tried contacting Google directly.

I am hesitant to install an ad blocker, since I cannot afford to violate google TOS and lose access to my Gmail account etc.

I don't know what to do next. Help?

1. Get out of Gmail etc.

2. Block ads
