The article's details are scarce. But if this contains technical information, please pretty please post a torrent regardless of whether you're paid ransom. Sincerely, those of us concerned about the future of personal computing.
It doesn't sound like the data has been exfiltrated, it just sounds like basic ransomware (encrypted on Gigabyte's computers). In fact, in the message, the hackers are asking the victims to send them any encrypted file, not sure why.
If it has been exfiltrated, I wonder if it contains info about Intel's Management Engine (ME) and AMD's Platform Security Processor (PSP).
