Is he right? The article was low on facts unfortunately.
Also $80 inflation adjusted to 2015 is about $600. So not far of the $700 mark of the "dramatic price increase" in the article. See https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflation/1965?endYear=2015...
I do believe resource scarcity will become a big problem if we don't manage our population growth. Will phosphorus be one of the first ? I don't know. Switching to sustainable agriculture will negate a big part of phosphorus use.
