In opposing the development of carbon-free nuclear energy it has responsible for some of that degree centigrade increase. Back in the 1980s we should have been developing sustainable and affordable nuclear reactors that use "nuclear waste" as fuel and that drive gas turbine powersets for greatly reduced capital costs in the turbine house and heat exchange systems. Instead the racist fear of "proliferation" was used to stop development of advanced nuclear technology and we are years behind of where we should be.
