(1) It's a good article that makes an important point, which is that everything other than eliminating CO2 emissions is a deadly distraction away from doing that.

(2) The Bulletin of Concerned Scientists has to recognize it's own role in this. In opposing the development of carbon-free nuclear energy it has responsible for some of that degree centigrade increase. Back in the 1980s we should have been developing sustainable and affordable nuclear reactors that use "nuclear waste" as fuel and that drive gas turbine powersets for greatly reduced capital costs in the turbine house and heat exchange systems. Instead the racist fear of "proliferation" was used to stop development of advanced nuclear technology and we are years behind of where we should be.
