I believe GP is "grandparent", referring to the post that the post you're replying to replied to. As if the reply is a descendent, and you're a descendent of the reply.
As far as I know, TFA on HN means "The Featured Article".

The article itself is about 50% Elon’s management misadventures, which is titillating, but more importantly 50% explaining that running a social media company is nothing like running just about any other tech company, and why.
