When a person looks young, there’s no particular need to say that they look young.

What a strange article. If at age 35 or 40 you don't start feeling old, then count your blessings. It physical changes that start at birth but begin to hit in force in your 30's. It has NOTHING to do with "society conditioning."
I think being reminded part of the value people assign to you is derived from good looks, and that they don't last forever, is the point.
Ageism is real. I'm 57 now, and I can notice that recruiters are getting less aggressive in trying to poach me from wherever I am.
