Stackoverflow is completely different. It prioritizes the experience of readers over posters - being the one who asks a question is not a good experience at all, but being the one who searches and finds an answer is really good. What they do have worked really well for this goal, and I have great respect for their initial decision.

As a software developer, when I monetized my hobby code that solved a niche problem, I needed to spend 10x more time to make it from "usable for me" to "usable for users".

I remember reading an article comparing Google maps with Waze and it criticized the UI of Google maps to be “traditional” and considered the Waze UI to be superior. I guess it was written by gen-z.

At the time I was shocked - since when did the google UI become the traditional? They really had no clue how long it took us to get things look right.

Personal experience: sometimes someone has clearly said something, and I heard every word, but my brain didn't process it. When I go back to re-watch the recording, I get so much more information. It's similar with watching a movie the 2nd time.

You have 2 facts: 1. the CCP made average Chinese citizens 30x richer in 30 years. 2. somehow everybody in the West thinks CCP is bad and believes Chinese people hate their government.

These 2 facts don't match, and you should think why, maybe some propaganda is at work.

Edit: crap I forgot I'm green, which looks so bad when I make this kind of arguments.

If you use css-in-js libaries, "//" just works. At least that's my experience with styled-components.

Well it has 1 more lens for wide angle. As far as iPhone goes, if you like to zoom out when taking photos, you need to buy the 2-lens models; if you like to zoom in, buy the 3-lens model.

I've tried some Android phones with fingerprint reader in the back, and it's 10x better than iPhone fingerprint reader in ways you can't imagine until you've tried. Unfortunately I still have to stay with iPhones for other reasons.

I think iPhone11 is another good choice. It's similar price, slightly older processor but better camera, and should function 5 years too.
