I want to feel bad, but shipping anything across borders is a huge gamble, or at least it feels like it these days.

One has to wonder if the customs agent even knew what a floppy is, as there’s an ever increasing chance they’d never seen one before.

It's no more victim blaming than being honest about what happens to people who visit Singapore with pot.

> random student that just took a poster as a souvernir.

Let's not mince words here, he stole government property in a country with some of the harshest laws on earth.

Did he deserve to die for it? No, but it was an incredibly stupid thing to do.

They've never made any sense to me, but neither do my country's sentence lengths. Ours seem too light, whereas the US's seem extreme.

I guess I'm really not sure what value there is to locking up someone like this for 25 years when in a sane system/society there should be far better options.

I can, it sounds like a world where people are more fairly compensated for their work.

I’m increasingly cynical about open source as time goes on. There really need to be better licenses that deal with the funding issue, because huge companies shouldn’t have any right to freeload.

> they can't just throw money around for funsies.

And yet a single bad/pointless/redundant meeting can easily cost 5k or more in time alone.

Companies throw money away constantly.

It can run OS 9, but it’s not amazing. I tried and it was relatively unstable even for OS 9 and I could never pin down why.

Thank you for getting it, this was my entire point and I’m glad it came across to someone.

Obviously I would never suggest someone replace their modern daily driver computer with one of this age.

I’m not suggesting one should use a setup like this daily, mostly commenting on how good the experience still is when running *BSD on it.

At the end of the day if all you need is a computer, it’s nice to know that basically any computer can still be serviceable. In a world where you can get 4k series i5s in the trash though, I don’t actually think anyone will be using such an old Mac seriously.
