It's not an opinion. It's common sense. Do you think Rust or Swift would exist if LLVM would have stopped its development long ago in favour of <insert new exiting tool>?

Not only in software, if we keep renewing rather than perfecting software, we won't go anywhere.

I never understood the "single developer" argument. React itself does not even have more than 5 active developers (https://github.com/facebook/react/graphs/contributors), Vue literally have a single one (https://github.com/vuejs/vue/graphs/contributors). You can apply this to almost any library. I mean, what's that argument for?

And yet all client-side frameworks like next.js, remix and others are literally moving to server again, making you even more tied to serverless stuff.

We've gone full circle in JS-land already, and it will keep going. In circle...

> I remember when forums were multi-seconds to load each page. It sucked.

You mean when you had the same internet speed 10 years ago, right...?

Everybody needs evidence of what this is really about. At the moment, this seems to be vaporware. But it's true that it does not matter if it was Go or any other language the initial one. V claims to be a self-hosting compiler with the initial one written in Go.

The release was supposed to be today. Few hours ago was changed to 2 more days.
