I'm glad the Pope doesn't get shaken by these sorts of claims. The Pope is the single least corruptible person on earth. Every politician has a price, but the Pope already has a kingdom and anything he could ask for. If the Chinese "win" the artificial intelligence race, will it make a difference if they've sacrificed their humanity?

I had two siblings get married in recent times and their celebrations were under $15,000 in the NYC/Long Island area. I think people need to revisit their relationship with money and readjust themselves. Not everyone needs a ridiculous over-the-top celebration. If you are of humble means, there's nothing wrong with a humble life and a humble wedding for that matter.

If you joined one you wouldn't feel that way. Don't hate them because the have a good job with security you wish you had.

I'm currently at work at the Long Island Railroad. If the Company and unions don't come back to the negotiation we're all walking off the job at 12:01 am. The energy here is palpable... it's going to get very messy if we strike.

I don't mean to ostracize or make you feel worse, but have you considered your furry'ness is worth less than friendship? Maybe your friends creating space was a way of saying "You care more about getting attention than you do about being part of our friendship"?

Maybe set aside what you want to be (a furry) to maintain what you had (friends).

I mainly suggest it because no one teaches young people they are responsible for their happiness. Maybe you're feeling depressed because of your choices (pretending to be a wolf)?

My opinion is absolutely an unpopular one, but you have to think of your friends feelings, not just your own.

I think you're onto something. I started my own firm on a shoe-string compared to my boss' existing company and have been doing quite well. The hardest thing may be lead generation, but I poached a bunch of those too.

America isn't big enough for a huge number of immigrants from these other countries. I'm not opposed to foreigners, but we can't absorb the whole world population. Immigration also drives down wages...
