Hooks were the beginning of the end of my interest in React. Truly a terrible concept. Way to magic. Not overly aesthetic, not to mention the async programming techniques the js community has developed for over a decade all kinda break down with hooks.
You can’t even just keep using class based as they have no way to consume hooks.
Unit testing of hook based code is non existent IME. It’s some kinda funky E2E feeling test.
React was my favorite framework before. It’s really a shame.
So what’s the end game here, literally remove the ability to say anything negative about anyone?
It’s inherently not kind to say “I don’t think you’re smart” but do we really want to eliminate being able to say that? Are we all just going to be 100% nice to each other all the time and only say kind things about others.
I don’t think so. People do bad and stupid shit all the time. We should be able to express that.
An overused phrase but this is quite literally 1984.
Reminds me a bit of the old modest mouse song stars are projectors. That song had a related idea that our consciousness is in the cosmos and beamed down to us. Drugs could be interrupting that beam or something like you said. It’s an interesting thought.
No, that’s blatantly untrue. The liver is one of the simpler ones as it’s all single cells, and the brain is definitely the most complex. I’ve never heard anyone say they are equally complex.
That doesn’t mean we understand everything about the liver, but we are hell of a lot closer than the brain.
I wouldn't suggest us for 3D rendering or games tbh, as it's react native like.
Our bundle size is pretty good.
We don't currently have web support but are investigating it.
Would you still be curious in checking it out?
