> ordered to pay a total of $38.3 million to the families…

Curious how much these grieving families will actually receive?

As for Chiquita Corporate—- such a small price of doing business. Sad commentary for justice.

Sounds like a phishing expedition-

Worth calling them out,

I'm ethically and contractually bound not to disclose specific details around this work.

At a high-level I'm doing A)B) & C.

I imagine you expect the same standard from your team members.

Then turn the questions on them-

Relative to this role, help me understand what you're trying to accomplish.

What are you priority needs/wants? What does success look like?

As for your Job Search -

Don't focus on companies and openings.

Instead, look for the guy you can best serve.

There's a Senior Manager/Executive out there who needs your help.

On this, Linkedin Profiles are actually a useful tool.

> But it didn't change anything about how those companies qualified candidates...

Turns out, finding/discovering hidden tech talent is relatively easy.

Finding the "Economic Buyer", a true hiring executive with budget and authority to make timely hiring decisions gets worse every year.

Bureaucratic Red Flag, when HR Bozos start 'adding value' to the process.

As companies grow, they mindlessly get in their own way.

Consider taking the Sparketype test. It’s free, only takes 7 minutes.

Overview. In Sparked (2021), Jonathan Fields immerses readers in the universe of Sparketypes, an entirely new concept of impulses that make you feel alive at work and in life in general, so that you learn to avoid what drains you.

> my attempts of cold-outreach have failed.

An entrepreneurs most valuable, “learned skill” is selling.

Budget your time against learning how to sell.

Mike Weinberg’s book is a great place to start. Chapter 14, “planning and executing the attack” is brilliant. > https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/15863998

Friendly Challenge: assuming those initial cold outreach targets are still solid; try to connect with them again.

> I do genuinely enjoy writing code when I know what is being asked of me and when I know that it will help the end-user(s).

Look for the individual who you can actually help, NOT the job.

That is to say, try to connect with the Hiring Executive versus getting blocked by the HR filter.

Small & Early stage companies are your best bet.

“Calling someone ‘talent’ is quite different from calling them a person,” she added. “People aren’t a resource that can be depleted over time.”

> communications with recruiters is so cold now…

True-

Worse still, Hiring Managers completely divorced from the recruiting process.

And C-Levels execs whine they can’t find the right “talent”… Hilarious!
