Grid patterns in image uploads are leading to automatic bans; apparently grid encoding of CSAM material overreach by AI treating all grid graphics as CSAM

“Rare”? :)

We don’t know the actual numbers as pericarditis and myocarditis can occur asymptomatically, and people truly need to be under very active medical surveillance to detect it

Stripping of naturalization in the US is usually associated with immigration fraud.

Terrorist/Nazi Concentration Camp Guard lies on immigration forms, decades later is found out and gets the boot

Seems to be intentionally defamatory

From the Wikipedia article on the Orebro party

“ Split from the left

The initiative to found the Örebro Party was taken in early 2014 by Markus Allard, who is also the first party leader. Allard had previously held positions as substitute member of the Örebro municipal council and district chairman of the Young Left in Örebro; in December 2013 he was expelled from the Left Party and its youth wing Young Left for "liking" the Revolutionary Front, a militant revolutionary socialist and anti-fascist organization, on Facebook and refusing to disavow it when questioned.[6] Allard has stated that the real reason for his expulsion was that he was perceived as a threat to the established party bureaucracy.[7][8]

While Allard has described himself as a Communist,[9] and a Marxist,[8][10] at its founding in March 2014 he defined the Örebro Party as "broad left".[9] At that time the party considered itself a "local party that wants to carry on the labour movement's ideals", and "not interested in administrating the current society".[11]”

At best Wikipedia is a well-edited wiki of a smorgasbord, great writing, and an incredible resource that provides amazing value.

At worst it can be a hive mind echo chamber where certain views are banished to the Abyss.

Certain topics attract the latter rather than the former…

VMware really damaged their business longterm, as anyone that can transition off, is doing so, and anyone else is planning on it.

I want to echo the comments that you just made.

One of my primary methods of interacting with an iPhone is through speech and the state of Apple speech transcription is pretty horrible. It bothers me greatly.

I know some of the workarounds and things but it does feel like it’s in the Stone ages.

I don’t think it’s a microphone issue since iPhone microphones are fairly decent and I don’t think it’s a CPU issue either because Apple Silicon seems to be some of the best on the market. Which leaves us with the software…

Maybe they should put that cash hoard to good use and buy up some of these transcription companies or license their IP so we get truly high-quality transcription.

I think the company Taalas alone destroys Ed’s arguments

Because, comparing vs GPUs

~16k–17k tokens/second per user

<1ms latency

10x power efficiency

20x cheaper production

Model to Si ~ 60 to 90 days

We have every reason to believe SW_to_Si will facilitate improving economics

I'm increasingly thinking the same as our spend on tokens goes up.

If you have HPC or Supercompute already, you have much of the expertise on staff already to expand models locally, and between Apple Silicon and Exo there are some amazingly solutions out there.

Now, if only the rumors about Exo expanding to Nvidia are true..
